What are we doing?
Unlike most second hand stores, Renew’s purpose is to return all of its profits back into ministry for Marion and the surrounding communities. To make the most of this strategy, our store is staffed completely (yes, 100%) by volunteers. The only exception would be our Restorative Employment ministry. We employ and provide life coaching on a individual basis for up to two years and 40 hours per week. It is through this process we help develop the skills and disciplines that make our Restorative Employees highly desirable hires for the businesses in our area. We have no big corporate structure to pay for, so our overhead is minimal. Low overhead = Low prices! When you purchase from Renew, you know your purchases will be used to help others nearby!
Also – and this is important – none of the revenue from Renew goes to the Cornerstone Church. It all goes toward the purpose of Renew (see above).

We are always seeking outgoing volunteers to help staff the thrift shop each week on Tuesday-Saturday. Individuals, Friends, Families, and Groups are all invited to serve weekly or monthly for at least a four hour time commitment. Store Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 5pm, Thursday 10am to 6pm, and Saturday 10am to 2pm. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No prior retail experience needed, just a love for people, a kind ear for the stories people share, and a heart for community missions!
