What does it look like for your child at Cornerstone?
Your kids will have the opportunity for age-appropriate Bible based learning at our weekend services. This is the starting point for you to teach your children throughout the week and keep them talking about and with Jesus. Our primary focus is to create an environment for children to discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. By the time they move on to the next level, we want them to discover more about who God is, learn more about the Big Story He is telling and how He empowers them to join Him in this mission/adventure.
At the Kids’ Check-In area, you’ll be greeted by a team member who will help you register your child. You’ll receive a name tag for your child and parent sticker. After check-in, you will escort your child to their class. Your child’s safety and security are important to us, so we have volunteer security team members, checking the name tags and parent sticker when admitting or dismissing them to or from class.
Little City (Children from birth through 1st Grade)
Babies & Walkers:
While enjoying the adult services, parents can rest assured that their babies, crawlers, walkers, and two to three year olds will receive personal care in a safe and nurturing environment. Our trained volunteers create a positive environment that introduces young children to God’s Big Story and His love for us. Also, parents will receive an individual pager to carry into the worship service that will alert them in case they are needed.
Fours & Jr Kids:
Fours are 4-5 year olds not in Kindergarten and Junior Kids are K-1st grade children. They are provided with a full curriculum of animated Bible lessons, skits, puppets, and fun-filled songs that teach a main point built around a compelling theme. Snack times and craft times are also integral parts of our weekend services.
Big City (Children 2nd through 5th Grade)
Each weekend service children have the opportunity to participate in an exciting and engaging environment as they learn and love God. After dropping your kids off, they can enjoy breakfast or snack in the Cafe. Also, they will have the opportunity to enjoy the arcade-style game room, prior to the beginning of the service.
As the service begins, kids gather in the worship area for a high-energy fun approach to Christ-centered Bible teaching. We have fun worshipping God with songs, games, animated Bible lessons, and interesting skits that teach a main point built around a creative theme. After worship and lesson, kids break up into smaller groups where the lesson in reiterated with engaging activities. We learn how to use the Bible and so we encourage your child to bring a Bible to class.
Every year, we provide the opportunity for kids to go to CentriKid camp. For more info, check out the event page!
